Standard Features of all Ring Video Doorbells come equipped with the following:
- HD camera: The camera lets you view any visitor through the app so that you know who is visiting and why they are there. Equipped with night vision, you don’t need to worry about seeing a late-night visitor.
- Two-way audio: Ring’s slogan makes you feel safe and secure, “With Ring, you’re always home.” That wouldn’t be true without the audio capabilities. Not only can you see your visitors, but you can also speak with them using the Ring app.
- Motion detection: Your Ring Doorbell has built-in motion sensors to let you know if someone is meandering on your property.
- Mobile access: Simply download the app to your phone and you will be able to communicate with someone at your front door from anywhere.
Installation requires unscrewing an existing peephole and slotting the View Cam in its place—something that will take a few minutes and does no damage to the door. Drilling is not required.
In Volusia County, the Sheriff's Department works in cooperation with the Ring Neighborhood Network, allowing users to share cloud footage with agency to solve crimes. The Sheriff's Office has already made several arrests thanks to the new technology. This feature requires subscription to the Ring Cloud for a nominal fee.
Thanks to Ring, rentals no longer have to be without such technology, further decreasing crime in our area and making renters feel safer. Visit ring.com for more information.
We strongly suggest speaking with your landlord before installing a Ring Doorbell.
