Chipotle fans can rejoice! If you haven’t heard by now, DeLand is getting a Chipotle restaurant, quick-serve, fast-casual Mexican restaurant that is famous for fresh ingredients that are sourced locally.
 Everyone enjoys the look of a nice healthy lawn. Not only do lawns increase the value of a property, they also cool the air, combat glare and noise, and reduce soil erosion. Perhaps most importantly, a healthy lawn actively filters and traps sediments and pollutants that could otherwise contaminate ground and/or surface water. Other than mowing it on a weekly basis during the summer, how do you get the best possible lawn for your grass species?
 You don’t have to travel too far to find a body of water in Florida. No one is more than two hours from either coast, but you don’t even have to go to the coast to enjoy the scenic beauty that being on the water brings. In DeLand, there is a beautiful scenic jewel that everyone can enjoy called the St. Johns River. What’s great is that everyone can enjoy this amazing resource, regardless of income.
 Baseball fever came to DeLand for a short period of time. For the first time in school history, the Stetson University baseball team hosted and won an NCAA Regional Championship. The team went on to the Super Regional tournament against University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC where Stetson's cinderella season came to an end, but it lit a spark in a town that is hungry to see their hometown university be national competitors.
