Vacant Lots Are Going Fast in Anticipation of DeLand Construction Boom

​It is a great time to build a home in DeLand. The city is entering in what is expected to become the Golden Age of residential construction. The most obvious part of the boom is in Southeast DeLand.
The Victoria Park area is permitted to build over 1,000 homes in the area in the foreseeable future. Businesses are already taking advantage of the residential growth. A Race Trac gas station is expected to border the expanded Victoria Gardens area of Victoria Park that will be along East New York Avenue and Kepler Road. Also, the proposed Auto Mall is expected to be developed in nearby Lake Helen. 

There is a lot happening, and these lots are already selling fast. The expanded Victoria Park construction plan includes the following homes within the given Victoria communities. 

  • 600 homes in Victoria Trails south of Taylor Road.
  • 132 homes in Victoria Trails north of East Taylor Road. 
  • 344 home in Victoria Hills. 
Other communities available to build in DeLand include: 
  • Victoria Gardens
  • Bentley Green
  • Mallory Square
  • Ridgewood Crossings
  • Sawyers Landing
  • South Ridge Villas
